Ingredients- 1 tbsp margarine or butter 15 mL
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" (2.5 cm) pieces 500 g
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 250 mL
- 1 pkg (224 g) CHICKEN HELPER, Fettuccine Alfredo 1
- 2 1/2 cups hot water 625 mL
- 1 cup milk 250 mL
- 2 tbsp FRENCH'S Dijon Mustard 30 mL
- 1 cup frozen peas 250 mL
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation- In large skillet, melt butter over high heat. Cook chicken, onion and mushrooms 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until outside of chicken turns white.
- Stir in Sauce Mix, hot water, milk and mustard. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Stir in uncooked Pasta. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Stir in peas. Cover and cook 2 minutes; stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Uncover; let stand 5 minutes or until sauce is as thick as you'd like (sauce will thicken as it stands). Stir before serving. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
